When you call Lockshire Locksmiths, you speak to Darren. He’s the Cheshire-based locksmith who answers his own phone and does every job himself. He covers the whole of Timperley. That includes the village around the Stockport Road, Thorley Lane and Park Road junction, Heyes Lane and Riddings Road up in Timperley Heyes, West Timperley and the Broomwood estate to the south. He aims to be with you within 30 minutes.
Much of Timperley was built from the 1930s onwards, so most calls here are to family semis and detached homes. Some still have a timber front door on a mortice sashlock. Many more now have uPVC or composite doors with a euro cylinder. Darren carries anti-snap cylinders and security handles on the van, so most lockouts and lock changes are sorted on the first visit. If your uPVC door has never had its cylinder upgraded, ask him about it while he’s there. Snapping a standard cylinder is how a recent Timperley break-in happened. If you need urgent help, visit our Emergency Locksmith Cheshire page or call now for immediate assistance.
Done by Darren himself — no call centre, no job passed on.
Failed sash lock replaced with a British Standard 5-lever
This Timperley front door's sash lock had failed completely and the carers who visit each morning couldn't get in — the lock fitted before was cheap and never up to the job. Darren gained entry, fitted a British Standard 5-lever Union sash lock and a new keep so the door closes cleanly.
Break-in repaired with an anti-snap cylinder
Someone got into this Timperley home by snapping the door handle to expose the cylinder underneath, then snapping the cylinder and turning the mechanism open — no noise, no broken glass. Darren fitted new handles and an anti-snap cylinder, built to shear off at the front and leave nothing to turn.

Locked out? Darren gains access using specialist tools — non-destructive in the vast majority of cases, leaving your door, frame and lock intact.
Lost your keys? The proper fix isn't cutting new ones — it's changing the cylinder so the originals don't work at all. Darren fits a new cylinder with fresh keys included, on the same visit.
Darren carries euro cylinders, mortice locks and British Standard approved options on the van — fitted on the same visit, old keys stop working immediately.
Break-in damage repaired the same day in most cases. Darren carries replacement cylinders, deadlocks, handles and anti-snap hardware on the van — the property won't be left unsecured.
Anti-snap cylinders and Ultion security hardware fitted on the same visit. Ultion locks and handles combined carry a £5,000 manufacturer's guarantee against lock snapping.
Dropped handle, stiff mechanism, door that won't lock? Sometimes it's gearbox failure; sometimes it's door alignment — and catching an alignment issue early can significantly cut the cost of the repair. Darren diagnoses on site and carries the most common parts for a same-visit fix.
Lock failure at business premises — Darren covers shops, offices and commercial units across Cheshire. Same fast response, no call-out fee and a clear quote before work begins.
A full assessment of every door, lock and entry point. Darren identifies weak spots and gives you honest advice on what to prioritise and no obligation to proceed.
